Team Description

The Localization Team at RIDI is dedicated to bringing Korean web novels to a global audience by adapting stories for readers around the world. Our work goes beyond simple translation; we strive to deliver a reading experience that feels just as natural and captivating in English as it does in the original language. Our editors and project managers work closely with one another to make this possible.


Job Description

  1. Edit, review, and finalize content for publishing
  2. Train vendors and freelancers to meet quality standards
  3. Develop and improve QA guidelines
  4. Manage external resources - hiring and training freelancers, conducting performance evaluation, etc.
  5. Work with internal stakeholders to monitor project progress, quality standards, and any QA-related issues


Required Qualifications

  1. Native English speaker
  2. Excellent command of American English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  3. Strong writing and editing skills with a solid grasp of narrative tone and flow
  4. Exceptional attention to detail
  5. Ability to identify and resolve inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and issues with readability or tone in localized translations
  6. Intermediate proficiency in Korean (reading and speaking)
  7. Professional experience in proofreading or editing
  8. Strong communication skills for providing feedback and training to peers, vendors, and freelancers
  9. Valid visa status to work in Korea



Preferred Qualifications

  1. More than 2 year of professional experience in localizing translated content
  2. Experience with web comic and web novel editing or localization
  3. Familiarity with English fiction writing and storytelling conventions
  4. Experience in training a team or individuals
  5. Basic Photoshop skills
  6. Experience using EPUB editors or creating EPUB files

Hiring Process

  1. Application Review → Assignment Evaluation → Interviews -> Compensation Discussion → Final Offer
  2. The interview process consists of 2–3 rounds, and detailed information will be provided depending on the position.
  3. Additional steps may be added or adjusted as needed during the hiring process.
  4. The overall hiring process typically takes 4–6 weeks. The timeline may be adjusted in coordination with the candidate, and we will provide separate updates if there are delays or changes.
